Updated version superseding the annoncement "Auckland Port Congestion Surcharge" published earlier today.
MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company wishes to confirm that vessels continue to experience significant delays upon arrival at port of Auckland, New Zealand. The congestion is due by a lack of workers causing now extended delays.
Delays and wait times for vessels to berth in Auckland are being reported between 10 to 13 days.
Due to the ongoing nature of the congestion and also in order to maintain our liner services at the required levels, a Congestion Surcharge of USD 300 per TEU will be introduced for all export cargo from Europe, Türkiye, Israel, South Africa, Mozambique and Namibia to POD Auckland, from B/L date 9 November 2020 onward.
MSC continues to monitor the significant congestion delays at the port of Auckland and will provide updates on any developments.
