Emission Control Area Surcharge - Trade from Australia and New Zealand to Mediterranean

Given the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has added the Mediterranean Sea as an Emission Control Area (ECA), which results in higher operating costs for vessel operators, MSC will apply an ECA surcharge to all cargo from Australia and New Zealand to Mediterranean.
As from 01 May 2025 until further notice, the ECA will be charged at: USD 25 / TEU, for all types of containers.
Any other elements of the price, as indicated in the last EU Price Announcements for the relevant trades published on msc.com, still apply and remain unchanged.
