At the end of the season, more than 400,000 tons of citrus are shipped from Argentina and this volume is growing, due to the re-entry of citrus to the European Union. Lemons, oranges and tangerines are the main citrus products, originating in the northern region of the country, mostly in Tucumán. Reefer containers need to meet specific requirements in order to keep cargo safe and comply with the required Cold Treatment protocols. Our fleet uses the Star Cool system, which maintains temperature in a simple and effective way, saving more energy. In the last few years, MSC added more than 5,000 units of this container type to our fleet ensuring greater coverage and a better service.
