Emergency Operation Surcharge (EOS) - Trades from Canada, Mexico, Bahamas and South Africa to USA East and Gulf Coasts

In order to cover expected operational disruptions at U.S. ports, as a consequence to work stoppages, strikes or other labor-related reasons, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announces the implementation of an Emergency Operation Surcharge (EOS) applicable to all shipments directed from Canada, Mexico, Bahamas and South Africa to USA East and Gulf Coasts, effective as from 27 October 2024 (discharge date) until further notice.

The EOS will be payable at destination and charged as follows:
- USD 1000 per 20’ container
- USD 2000 per 40’ container


Unless otherwise specified, all charges of reefer and special equipment for open top, flat rack and tank containers are the same as tariff of dry cargo.
