Export Charges:
Prohibited Cargo
The following commodities are forbidden for Import to INDIA:
- Animal fats, skins, bones, horns; whalebone, Edible products of animal origin, Synthetic rags, Malfunctioned Devices (MFD) - Used Electronic Equipment's, plastic scrap, solid plastic waste , used tyres etc.
- Import of Betel nuts is banned at all Indian ports except for New Mangalore port effective 20th Feb'07
- IMPORT OF used, worn, old clothing is restricted.
(Harmonized code: 63090000). This commodity can no longer be imported for Commercial use or for resale in India. Any old / worn clothing will be accepted as RAGS only (shredded form). - As per Notification No. S.O.948(E) dt. 22-Mar-2017 - RAW HIDES, AND LEATHER ETC are not allowed to Custom clear at ICD Kanpur. Importation of live-stock products are now permitted only to certain sea ports / ICD – check with MSC INDIA for acceptance.
- USED or NEW MOTOR VEHICLES NOT ACCEPTED TO INDIAN PORTS due to higher duty and probable abandonment from merchant – check with MSC INDIA for cargo acceptance.
- RESTRICTION ON IMPORT OF PEAS & PULSES – need to check time to time restriction set by Govt of India and importation strictly subject to local authority approval and license hold by importer / consignee.
- Commodity - Calcium Carbide (UN1402) is restricted to import to Indian ports except Kolkata (INCCU), Cochin (INCOK), Tuticorin (INTUT), Chennai (INMAA), Mangalore (INNML) & Visakhapatnam (INVTZ) and Imports only allowed to licensed users from Chief Controller of Explosives, under the Calcium Carbide Rules 1987(India). Kindly check Consignee(receivers) credentials before proceeding with the HAZ booking." It would be preferred if prior request is sent to us before acceptance of Highly Hazardous cargo.
- All cargo fall under HAZ CLASS 1, 6.2 & 7 prohibited for all Indian Ports.
- PERSONL EFFECT CARGO IS RESTRICTED TO CERTAIN PORT/ICDS, PLS CHECK WITH MSC INDIA LOCAL OFFICE
- IMPORT and or TRANSHIPMENT OF MILITARY CARGO IS STRICTLY SUBJECT PRIOR APPROVAL FROM MSC POD AGENCY
