The ongoing challenging market situation and subsequent accumulation of delays are causing severe port discrepancies that are impacting our global network, including services from Asia to North Europe. Due to this, MSC will be introducing a Service Disruption Surcharge (SDS).
This unprecedented situation and increased market demand combined with strict measures in place to fight the pandemic across the port network and global supply chains, have caused high yard density and exceptional waiting times for our vessels.
The Service Disruption Surcharge will apply to all shipments from Asia to NWC effective as of 15 August until further notice.
