MSC is proud to again be an official sponsor of the Africa CEO Forum, where business leaders, investors, and heads of state and ministers from around world will discuss a transformation agenda for shaping the future of Africa.

Representatives from MSC’s Geneva headquarters and from our businesses in Africa will attend the event on 25 and 26 March 2019 in Kigali, Rwanda.

MSC has been investing in Africa since 1970, supported by a network of agencies in over 40 countries. Operating 50 weekly ocean services, MSC helps connect Africa to the rest of the world and contributes significantly to its future trade ambitions. MSC also helps foster intra-African trade through our regional sea-freight services, overland intermodal and logistics services and port terminal investments.

This prestigious event is now in its seventh year and is a significant platform for the expected 1,500 participants. There are some 40 panels, public-private workshops and case studies during the event, giving an opportunity for attendees to meet and network, discuss major topics and address key challenges, notably around global trade, transports and logistics.

It comes at a time when Africa has embarked on an accelerated trade integration process, with the historic signing in Kigali in March 2018 of the agreement for the creation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which will open up more opportunities for international trade.
