Asia to US East Coast Service Updates
21/07/2016
In an effort to provide improved services to our customers, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is pleased to announce changes to its Asia to US East Coast network.
As a result of the Panama expansion MSC shall change the routing of our Empire service leaving Asia through the Panama Canal. This shall result in improved transit times from central China as well as adding a direct link between South Korea and the North Atlantic ports of New York, Norfolk and Baltimore.
We are furthermore pleased to announce that MSC shall be able to offer a direct link from Xiamen to New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston and Miami on our America service. Adding a Norfolk call to our America service also provides for a new direct link from Ho Chi Minh with improved transit times.
A Ningbo call has been added to a modified Amberjack service providing significantly faster transit times of 27 days from Ningbo to Savannah and improving all our transit times from Shanghai, Qingdao, Xingang and Busan to Charleston and Jacksonville.
Changes on the above three US East Coast strings shall commence during week 35, while the Lone Star Express shall continue to service our customers with competitive transit times into Houston, Mobile and Miami.
