MSC Makes Biggest Impact Yet at TPM25: A Recap

12/03/2025

MSC marked another successful year at the Transpacific Maritime Conference (TPM25) in Long Beach, California, demonstrating our commitment to reliability. With an expanded presence, featuring an engaging interview from our CEO Soren Toft, participation at TPM Tech, and a record number of representatives, MSC took center stage. No other event brings together so many of our valued customers, industry leaders, partners, and policymakers under one roof, and we are thrilled to have played a pivotal role.

Soren Toft kicks off TPM25 with keynote address

MSC’s CEO, Soren Toft, kicked off TPM25 with a dynamic interview as part of the TPM CEO Series, appearing for the second time. In an engaging conversation with CNBC’s Lori Ann LaRocco, Soren shared insights into MSC’s new standalone East/West network, the importance of global trade, and our commitment to serving the US economy.

Soren also outlined MSC’s commitment to sustainability, emphasizing the company’s leadership in dual-fuel technology and its dedication to achieving long-term objectives.

MSC's expanding presence

MSC’s presence at TPM25 was large and impactful, with 119 representatives from across the MSC Group, including experts from MEDLOG and Air Cargo. Our custom-built meeting rooms headquartered in Room 102 at the Long Beach Convention Center made up of 24 meeting spaces, provided a productive and comfortable environment for deal making and discussions. These spaces allowed our team to engage directly with partners and customers, providing meaningful facetime, in line with our values of trust, open-communication, and life-long partnership.

Elizabeth Shepard leads digital transformation discussion at TPM Tech

MSC USA’s Digital Growth Manager, Elizabeth Shepard, participated in the TPM Tech panel, where she discussed the latest advancements in electronic Bill of Lading (eBL) adoption. Joined by industry experts, Elizabeth explained the importance of eBL as part of MSC’s digital transformation journey, and our work to communicate and share its value proposition to the industry. eBL offers multiple benefits for our customers, including enhanced security, faster processing times, reduced environmental impact, and significant cost savings, all while mirroring the paper process.

Looking ahead: innovation, sustainability, and a return to our independence

At MSC, we are proud of the strides we have made. As our CEO Soren Toft noted in his interview, we enter 2025 from a position of strength – with a fleet of 900 vessels and a combined 6 million TEU capacity prepared to serve our own independent network. Offering unrivaled direct port access and customer-centric intermodal solutions, MSC is prepared to meet the needs of an ever-changing global supply chain landscape by remaining laser focused on our customers.

We look forward to TPM26 as we continue to serve as responsible stewards of global trade and commerce.
