New Service to Basra/Al Maqal (Iraq)

Al Maqal port is located in Basra City centre on the banks of Shatt Al Arab, 135 km upstream, and strategically close to the trade hub of Basra, as well as to many large Iraqi oil and gas fields in the southern part of the country. 

Al Maqal Port of Basra has 11 of the 15 berths already in service today and brand new equipment includes 64 ton mobile harbor cranes and reach stackers. Customs clearance facilities located in the berths management building allow for smooth operations and rapid customs clearance for customers.

The connection to Al Maqal Port will be served with a weekly feeder from Jebel Ali.
