Supporting the 'Day of the Seafarer'

Led by the International Maritime Organisation, the Day of the Seafarer falls on Saturday 25th June and is designed to honour the many men and women who live their lives as hard working seafarers around the world.

The theme of this year’s campaign day is ‘At Sea For All’, emphasising that those in seafaring don’t just play a role within the shipping industry, but that they are ‘indispensable to the world’ (which is the message adopted by the IMO as part of their World Maritime Day activity in 2016).

At MSC, we have planned and implemented our “MSC Family Crewing Concept”, and have been fortunate enough to be sustainably served by thousands of seafarers dedicated only to us. This has helped keep our vessels fully operational at all times, and ensured that we can deliver to our many customers around the globe punctually and with great care.
