MSC Standalone East/West Network Service Update - November 2024

27/11/2024

We are delighted to announce that our standalone East/West network services will be enhanced with additional port calls to optimize our Asia to Europe, US and Canada connectivity. This latest update is part of our continued commitment to offer an expansive ocean freight network and provide our customers with a greater choice of direct port pair connections coupled with competitive transit times.

Our standalone East/West network set to commence February 2025 will be enhanced with the following adjustments for our Asia to Europe, US and Canada trades:

  • MSC’s Mustang service connecting Asia to the Northwest US and Canada will be added to our East/West network. The new rotation will be Xiamen – Yantian – Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Seattle – Vancouver – Portland – Busan.

  • Greater connectivity for Asia to US and Canada trade with added calls in Vung Tau and Haiphong Vietnam on our Pearl and Chinook services.

  • Asia to Europe trade network will be enhanced with added calls in Nansha on our Lion and Dragon services. Moreover, our Swan-Sentosa service will add a call in Yantian westbound and will also now include a direct call to Japan via Yokohama in place of Busan.

  • A Westbound call in Busan will be added to our Orient and Lonestar services connecting US West and East Coast trade to Asia respectively.

  • Our Jade service connecting Asia and Europe trade will now feature a call in Vizhinjam India before sailing to the Mediterranean.

  • Our Dragon service will reshuffle Colombo with Vizhinjam on the eastbound leg.

  • A call in Colombo will be added to our Britannia service connecting trade between Asia and North Europe. Furthermore, Colombo will be added to our America service eastbound from US East Coast back to Asia.

  • Our Albatros service will now feature two calls in the UK – London Gateway will be added after Felixstowe – Felixstowe will remain the first call in Europe from Asia.

Today’s latest 2025 East/West network update and its options will not impact the tonnage or deployment for any other routes provided by MSC globally.

Our standalone East/West network in addition to our existing Asia export services will provide unmatched continental trade connectivity with Asia through a vast array of loops, competitive transit times and a high frequency of direct port calls.
