MSC would like to inform customers that to better manage the current industry-wide challenging market situation, which is impacting port activities and generating congestion across the supply chain, we will introduce updates to our East-West network.  

By reshuffling our network, we aim to enhance schedule reliability and enable our customers to plan and maintain supply chains.  

MSC will dismantle two pendulum services, namely Shogun-Pearl, and Lion-Jaguar, creating four unlinked services. Going forward, the Shogun service and Lion service will each be standalone strings between Asia and Europe. Whereas, the Pearl service and Jaguar service will each be standalone strings between Asia and the U.S. west coast. 

Please find below the new leaner rotations which should reduce exposure to some of the challenges in the current market environment.

Shogun New: Shanghai – Xiamen – Tanjung Pelepas – Colombo – Felixstowe – Rotterdam – Bremerhaven – Port Tangiers – Salalah – Hong Kong – Shanghai 

Pearl New: Vung Tau – Hong Kong – Yantian – Xiamen – Los Angeles – Yokohama – Xiamen – Vung Tau  

Lion-Jaguar Previous: Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Yantian – Tanjung Pelepas – Sines – Antwerp – Le Havre - Felixstowe – Algeciras – Singapore – Laem Chabang – Nansha – Yantian – Long Beach – Oakland – Busan 

Lion New: Ningbo – Shanghai – Yantian – Tanjung Pelepas – Sines – Antwerp – Le Havre – Felixstowe – Algeciras – Singapore – Laem Chabang – Yantian – Ningbo 

Jaguar New: Nansha – Yantian – Long Beach – Oakland – Busan – Nansha
