MSC Continues Expansion in the Philippines with New Office in Cebu

MSC, the world’s largest container shipping and logistics company, is thrilled to announce its expansion in the Philippines with the opening of MSC Cebu. This new office will provide accessibility, convenience, as well as improved and more localised solutions and services tailored to the unique transportation needs of our clients in the province. Strategically located in the commercial hub of the Central Philippines region, MSC Cebu marks our 4th office in the country.

Enabling Trade and Connectivity with a Leading Maritime and Transshipment Centre
Cebu is growing into a leading international maritime centre and an ideal transshipment point for cargoes to and from all over the world. Its central location in the Philippines also makes it a vital hub for distribution to other areas in the Visayas. With the recent government investments, Cebu now boasts many modern seaports with improved capacity and capability in handling different types of cargo. On top of being a key import market for various industries from furniture to auto-parts, Cebu is the second most populated province in the Philippines after Metro Manila.

To enable trade and connectivity with this vibrant province, MSC is connecting Cebu with our worldwide network through commercial feeders via Singapore and Kaohsiung.

MSC Cebu was officially inaugurated in September 2023.

As part of our continuous growth and in line with our commitment to the Philippine market, in March 2023, we evolved from a joint venture (Seaglory Shipping Services Inc) to MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company Philippines Inc.

This shift from a third-party agent to being MSC-owned signifies our dedication in providing the signature MSC quality, standards and customer service. As a company that values its people and to ensure the same, if not a higher level of dedication and support for our valued customers, employees from Seaglory Shipping Services Inc. were transferred to MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company Philippines Inc.

Connecting the Philippines to the World
MSC commenced operations in the Philippines in 2018 and has grown rapidly to now have 4 offices in Manila, Davao, General Santos and Cebu. Today, we have 9 port calls a week covering 7 ports across the Philippines to connect Philippine businesses to the world.
