MSC to Take Part in BDP’s North American Supply Chain Summit
17/02/2021
MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company will be participating in BDP’s North American Supply Chain Summit on February 24 at 3PM EST. Allen Clifford, Executive Vice President, Sales will be virtually joining BDP's Gene Welsh, Executive Director, Ocean Transportation on stage for a one-on-one to provide an update on ocean freight market trends.
Like many other in-person events this year, BDP's annual North American Summit was cancelled to ensure the safety and well-being of BDP employees and customers alike during the Covid-19 outbreak. However, the company decided to virtually host a forum for knowledge sharing where top industry experts and executives could provide updates and trends on some of the biggest external factors facing supply chains.
Allen is an accomplished senior executive with over 40 years' experience in the maritime industry. He serves as Executive Vice President of Sales, based at MSC’s New York headquarters. Allen began his journey with MSC USA in 1982, as the company’s first U.S. employee, where his passion for the seas helped continue his upward trajectory within the organization, earning positions that would give him greater responsibility and expertise. He also serves as Co-Chairman for the Containerization and Intermodal Institute, the oldest container-based organization in the United States.
