Dear Customers and Partners,

Please be informed that with immediate effect a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is required for all IMO cargo which is booked to/via any Brazilian port or to Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay port (including in TRANSIT cargo) on board of vessels calling any Brazilian port.

Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)  in Portuguese must be presented to MSC office 24 hours prior vessel’s arrival at Port of Loading.  

New requirement is indeed a Brazilian National Law (ANTQ-NR29/2011) and it becomes in force at Brazil

from February 26th, 2017

MSC must have all these documents in due time in order to get berthing approval from Port Authority.
