Further to our announcement on November 14th, 2014, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company has decided to suspend this surcharge until further notice. MSC shall nevertheless reserve the right to implement the surcharge again with immediate effect.

While the U.S.A. West Coast continues to be heavily impacted by the labor disruption and consequent congestion, we recognize the concern there is in the market as to how this charge is applied. MSC takes the congestion situation and the large associated costs, very seriously, and we intend to address our cost recovery program to our customers in due course.
