Emergency Operation Surcharge (EOS) – Trades from USA East and Gulf Coasts to other Destinations

In order to cover expected operational disruptions at U.S. ports, as a consequence to work stoppages, strikes or other labor-related reasons, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announces the implementation of an Emergency Operation Surcharge (EOS), effective as from 27 October 2024 (origin date) until further notice and applicable to all shipments directed from USA East and Gulf Coasts to:


• North Europe (inc. UK and Scan Baltic)
• West Mediterranean
• Greece, Turkey, Black Sea and East Mediterranean
• Africa
• India, Pakistan, Middle East and Red Sea
• Far East
• Oceania
• Mexico, Canada and Bahamas

The EOS will be payable at origin and charged as follows:
- USD 1000 per 20’ container
- USD 2000 per 40’ container

Unless otherwise specified, all charges of reefer and special equipment for open top, flat rack and tank containers are the same as tariff of dry cargo.
